SEATTLE::

Last night was the first concert promoting the new JW album that releases to the public on October 19th. For the people who were at the concert, we hope you are enjoying the new album! We were amazed at how anxious people have been to get there hands on this one. Sorry that it took so long to get!

It's odd being on stage and playing songs that you almost feel like you have never sang before. After touring for so long with 1 album and playing 95% of the songs off that album, it is very difficult to up and change your set so drastically with almost all new songs! The three of us are defineltey feeling the stretch. It is going to be great though. It has caused us to grow so much more as a band and to really hone our gifts. I truly believe that God desires us to use our gifts and USE THEM WELL. So we press on.

We also had the great opportunity last night to introduce a good friend of ours and the worship leader from our church, Jacob Taylor, as an opener for the concert. Jacob is fast becoming a great friend and brother in the Lord.

There are not many worship leaders that I know or have the wondeful chance to worship with who can lead me so effectivley into a sweet intimate time with Jesus, as Jacob can. You will be hearing more of him in the coming days so keep your ears open. God has blessed him with songs that I think will sweep the church all over the world!

Peace friends,

Today I have been learning about abiding in God.  John 15.  I forget about just being still and abiding in Him and it breaks my heart when I find myself trotting down the same road I swore I would never walk down again.  The same goes with my horrible ability to dabble in small compromises that I can so easily attribute to being “culturally relevant”.

I think that when someone is so focused being culturally relevant that it causes that person to a small bit of compromise, it is really a complete compromise.  There is no in-between.  The world needs to be able to look at the church and not get confused with what they see.

A righteous man who falters before the wicked is like a murky spring and a polluted well.  Proverbs 25:26

I read this today in my devotional today...chew on it:

When the world looks at the church, there shouldn’t be any confusion.  It should be plain that we have taken to heart 2 Corinthians 6:17.  “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord.”  If you find yourself living in the state of compromise, read and act on 1 John 1:9. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  Jesus’ mercy and forgiveness are waiting for all who wish to turn from their sins and to live a life that is without compromise in matters of faith.

If you have ever been to one of our live concerts, you have more than likely heard a song that Elise likes to share called "Salsa my Kee". Basically this song is a song Elise sang to her kitty-cat named Sasha (dubbed 'salsa') whenever the cat entered the room. Some of the words:

Salsa my Kitty
Salsa my Kitty
Fuzzy little wuzzin babe'n salsa my keeeee
Salsa my kitty
Salsa my kitty
Fuzzy little wuzzin babe'n salsssss.

Today is a sad day. Salsa, after 18 long years as a wonderful addition to this family, has passed along into the never-ending fields of cat nip, kitty toys and warm cozy sunbeam-spots.

We love you Salsa and we will miss you.
