::Santa Clarita CA::

Sitting at Starbucks near Santa Clarita California (Near Magic Mountain). We just left Anaheim after having a great 3 days with family and friends. We were celebrating the 100th birthday of my grandmother, Ida "Speed" Loomis. She is an amazing person. I will be sure to post some photos from the event asap.

Now that Elise and I are heading back to Seattle, we will have some much needed 'married' time to move into our new home and be alone. I know that sounds a little weird, but believe it or not, Elise and I don't get much time to just be alone and married. I for one feel a little guilty and responsible for not protecting (as much as I should) our alone time. It's very hard being a traveling ministry to do that! However, after our marriage retreat last weekend with the wonderful people of Calvary Chapel Poulsbo, we learned (all over again) that our marriage is our #1 ministry. The ministry to one another is by far the most important thing, besides our relationship with the Lord. How can we effectively lead others or minister to others when our marriage is not being taken care of? How can we pray with/for others when we aren't even praying with/for our spouses? Some things to chew on.

All that to say, it's a wonderful day here in California...the sun is out and it's a nice 75 degrees. And because it's sunny, I feel led to encourage all you who are married to spend a little bit more time with your spouse. Encourage them and even pray with them. Men, step up and be the man God has designed you and CALLED you to be in the marriage. Lead your wives! Tell them you love them and that they are the most important thing to you in all the world!

Ok, back to my Odwalla and sunshine. We only have 15 more hours to go till we drive back into Seattle.

::Interstate 5 in Central CA::

Elise and I are currently heading down (she's driving as I type) to Los Angeles for a couple days to visit with family. We will be celebrating my Grandmother's 100th birthday party! Man, that just blows me away that she is 100 TODAY! The best part is that she loves Jesus!

Tour Cancelled

::Tour Cancelled::

These last few weeks have been nuts. Many of you may not know that Elise and I handle all of the management and booking for Jacob's Well. Due to this, it's very difficult for us to re-book concerts that get canceled at the 'very last minute'. This is the reason, in part, that we had to cancel the spring tour. Part of me is really bummed, but the other part of me, which is the larger part, is really excited because I know the Lord has something better for us in the time we will be home. I feel as though God has allowed this break for us for a very specific reason. It's so easy to get caught up in the business of BOOKING and PROMOTING a tour, that the whole purpose of the tour gets lost.

(We are rescheduling our West Coast dates for August and September. Jacob's Well is planning on going to ID, UT, CO, TX, AZ, CA, and OR. If you live in these states, it's time to book.)

Elise and I will be taking some time to focus on family with a trip down to CA on Wednesday to see relatives. We just returned this weekend from a weekend marriage retreat with our old home church, Calvary Chapel of Poulsbo. What a blessing it was to worship and learn God's heart for married couples!

That's all for tonight. Be blessed dear friends!

All for the King.

::Gotta Love Technology::
That post below was typed on a 6 inch PDA from PALM/Cingular. Amazing. As some of you may know, we travel HI-TECH a lot. We are are MAC family and we use the amazing BLUETOOTH technology to get online in the suburban while we are on the road or somehwere else in the world. It's quite amazing to be able to access your email and surf the web, chat with friends and such while driving. :)

Anyway, just typing tonight to check some settings on our Journal. Talk to you all again soon!
