Look up once in awhile!

The other night, the first night of the HEAT wave we just had, I tucked in my wife and told her I was going to go spend some time talking to Jesus down by the beach where we live. We live just a couple blocks from the Edmonds Waterfront....quite nice.

Anyway, I KNEW that going down there and spending time looking up at the stars is what I needed to re-connect with Jesus... Why? Basically, back in 1993, I was saved up at Malibu (Young Life Camp) British Columbia...the setting: Me, alone, on a dock, looking up at the stars and the moon before me. I broke, BROKE HARD, realized the enormity of my God, and surrenderd my entire life to Him right there and then...August 27th 1993.

Till this day, I find it easier to communicate with Jesus when I am looking up at Him and His creation...I simply cannot express to you the way He breathes new life into me during these moments with Him. The other night I spent a lot of moments in tears...tears of sadness over my sin, over my compromise, over how LOVING God is to me, a sinner...a sinner who was saved by HIS grace.

Lay on the ground, look up at the sky and the stars, and talk to Him! He's waiting to meet with you friends.....

Customer Service

Why does it have to be so hard to get decent customer service on the phone with most companies? I swear that a lot of companies don't even bother to train their reps before putting the headsets on their noggins.

Car Buying

So did you know that when you go buy a car, that even though your credit score, for example, may be 740, as soon as you try to finance with the dealership, your score is rated much lower? Yeah, neither did we. We found out the hard way last week when we went to buy a new (used) vehicle and our credit score (which is in the "excellent" category) fell to the "good" catagory due to the finanacing, and prevented us from getting the car that we really wanted.

I haven't been so close to throwing my cell phone across a parking lot in years. Just being honest. Crumb!
