Lubbock, TX (again)

:: BACK IN LUBBOCK::

We’re back in Lubbock again. Since the last post, we drove down to Austin and spent Easter morning with the wonderful people at Calvary South Austin where we experienced some of the best BBQ that we have ever had. THANKS to the GARRETT’s for taking us out to lunch at Rudy’s and thanks to Rachel Ray for giving us the tip on Iron Works BBQ in downtown Austin. Wow!! After leaving Austin we spent a couple days resting in San Antonio w/ family. Last night found us in Ft. Worth at Calvary Chapel Ft. Worth w/ Chris McColluch and his beautiful bride. Thanks so much guys! We loved our time w/ you all! While in Ft. Worth we experienced an amazing wind/rain and lighting storm. Seriously freaked us out. On the way back to Lubbock today, we got a nail in a left rear tire. Thanks to the cool people at Wal-Mart for fix’n it up all nice like. (That’s Texan for fixing our tire good). Tomorrow we will be playing at SUGAR BROWN’s (owned by Justin Barnard...yes, shane barnard’s brother) and then at Island Party on Saturday afternoon!

God bless you all...more in a day or two..

Man, what a great time we had last night at SUGAR BROWN’S in Lubbock. To all of you who came out to see us w/ Joe Morrow, word up, you were totally awesome and we were stoked to be able to meet you all. In the last 2 days we have driven from North of Los Angeles to near Abilene TX. We played at Calvary Chapel Downey CA recently and had a wonderful time sharing a few songs with everyone there. Thanks to Jason Klein for setting that up for us. It was great to see KAREN, BRANDON, DANIELLE and DANIELLE’S MOM. You guys are awesome and always make us smile when we see you.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Austin and Dallas in the next couple days. Pray for our drive. It’s super windy here in West Texas and with the trailer, we’re a like a kite in the wind.

More soon!

What a seriously awesome time we had with you all at Brookings Christian Fellowship last night. Even though Elise and I were struggling through nasty head colds and not able to sing to our fullest, you guys sang for us and were so encouraging. We love coming to Brookings and hanging out w/ you all and we look forward to doing it again before too long! If there is anything we can leave you with it is to reiterate the absolute importance of being in God’s word and soaking in the richness of it. Let the word speak truth over your life...we promise it will! Don’t get caught up in placing your affections on things that are ‘but for a season’, rather, place your affections on the One who is forever faithful. Bless you all.
