THE BLOG POSTS ON THIS PAGE DATE BACK TO OCTOBER 2002. We've always loved updating people on where the Lord is leading and taking us - thus the huge history contained in this page. Just like a digital journal, we've loved looking back at what God was doing with us during these days. Enjoy reading through them and praising God for his amazing faithfulness!

I Will See You

Jacob's Well, along with 3-time Dove Award winner Masaki Liu (Virgin Records, Justin McRoberts, Five Minute Walk Records, Tooth and Nail Records, Five Iron Frenzy and many more) have put together a new collection of songs featuring the latest music from the band. Listeners will be drawn into worship through the familiar yet unexpected melodies found within this third release from Jacob's Well.

I Will See You debuted in pre-sales at #1 for the months of September & October and continued at the top spot during November with Independentbands.com's Top 40 listing - a huge accomplishment for Jacob's Well.

::New EP Coming Soon::

:: UPCOMING EP ::
On July 7th, we will be heading down to California to One Way Studio again to work with Masaki Liu on our upcoming EP. We decided to release an EP for a couple diffrent reasons, but mainly we didn't want to keep YOU waiting for new music from Jacob's Well. This EP is just a sneek peak to the full album we hope to release in the spring of 2007.
The other reason is that between NOW and the work on the actual album, we are going to be so busy with things at our home fellowship Calvary Chapel Poulsbo and also with some upcoming business ventures that we wouldn't have enough time to really work out the new songs.
Please pray for us the next couple of weeks (especially the week of the 7th-12th)! God bless you richly..

Summer Update

::SEATTLE WA::
It’s so great to be back home in our home town. We have missed being home so much. Being able to travel the country is such a privilege but our hearts are always thinking of home, no matter where we are. We are blessed with one of the most amazing fellowships in the country. We have visited literally hundreds of churches and such all over the country and it solidifies how much we LOVE our home fellowship. Calvary Chapel of Poulsbo started over 20 years ago when Pat and Shelly Love moved from Grants Pass Oregon where Pat was on staff (Elder) at the Applegate Christian Fellowship (Jon Courson). For 20 years they loved this town of Poulsbo and unwaveringly taught God’s Word to the people who called it home. After recently relocating back to Southern California (where they are originally from - Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa), we are so excited to welcome our good friend Joel Kirtley as our Pastor. Joel and his wife heather are from Seattle originally (Calvary Fellowship) but have been pastoring a church in St. Petersburg Russia for 7+ years. Joel brings a wonderful new flavor to the church - not replacing the original one, but complimenting it. Not to mention he cracks us up with his humor. You can listen to some of Joel’s recent teachings at www.calvarypoulsbo.org. His messages start on April 23rd 2006.

Now that we are back home, Joel, (who was leading worship in our stead along with 1 other brother) and ourselves have been praying together about our (Rob & Elise) continued involvement at the fellowship. We have been feeling for some time a burden to be submerged in our local community and church body in whatever capacity the Lord would have us. We have always loved being able to have close relationships with those we are ministering with and to, but this has been lacking in our lives as we have traveled for the last 5+ years. There’s something about being able to spend each day with the same people and really pour into their lives. Sooooo, starting basically right now, I (Rob) have committed myself to heading up the worship ministries again at the church and w/ Elise, we will be starting a Young Adults ministry to reach out to the countless 18-29 year olds in our area. I have also decided to finish Bible College and pursue getting ordained within the Calvary Chapel movement. On top of all of that, Elise and I are going to be opening a new business soon in town, of which we will explain once we are able to...probably within the next month.

What does all this mean for Jacob’s Well? Well, it means that our touring schedule will be less with probably 1 major tour a year (30+ cities) and 1-2 weekends a month. This is welcome news for us as we have been traveling non-stop for 5+ years and have had to be away from home for up to 3-4 months at a time. That’s hard. The good news is that we will STILL tour most of the U.S at least 1 time per year. Also, we are in the midst of the pre-stages of our next album due out in Spring 2007. We will be releasing an EP in the fall of 2006 (just in time for Christmas) and will continue work on the full length album through summer & fall. We are very excited to share with you the new songs the Lord has given us!

As you can see, there is a lot going on in our lives. Lots of changes coming our way. Our transmission in our 4-runner blew up the week after we got home from our tour. Our warranty covers it, but wow, I’m so thankful it waited to die until we got home, and not on some strange dirt road in Texas. We will be spending a week with a handful of song writers and the Centricity Records Family in Eastern Washington in early August and will be doing a handful of concerts with our good friend Koo Chung all over the Seattle area in late August. There’s also talk of us having kids... seriously! For those that know us well, I’m sure this is WELCOME news! We no longer will have to pretend all our YOUR kids are OUR kids!

Keep your ears open for more news about the EP/ALBUM and our Spring Tour. Feel free to contact us NOW if you are interested in booking for the Spring CD Release Tour. Because of the change in our touring schedule, dates are going to be gone QUICK! Just write to rob@wellwatermusic.com or call 206.650.1625 for more information!

God bless you all richly. We love you so very much.

Back Home in Seattle

::BACK HOME IN SEATTLE::

We have finally returned home to Seattle after nearly 4 months on the road! It was amazing seeing all of you from Hawaii to the east coast! We are blessed to call you friends and look forward to seeing you again sometime in the coming year. Now that we are home, our plans are to rest up, begin working on our next album of which we will be recording this summer (An EP will preview the new album) and spend time with family and friends. Rob will be focusing on the Worship Ministry at our church (Calvary Chapel Poulsbo) and collectivley, we will be starting a Young Adult/College Group in our community this summer. Tour plans will be minimal with just a handful of special appearances around the country, but mainly in the Pacific Northwest.

We hope to hear from you all soon! We'll be in touch before too long to give you more details on our progress with the new album.

Lubbock, TX (again)

:: BACK IN LUBBOCK::

We’re back in Lubbock again. Since the last post, we drove down to Austin and spent Easter morning with the wonderful people at Calvary South Austin where we experienced some of the best BBQ that we have ever had. THANKS to the GARRETT’s for taking us out to lunch at Rudy’s and thanks to Rachel Ray for giving us the tip on Iron Works BBQ in downtown Austin. Wow!! After leaving Austin we spent a couple days resting in San Antonio w/ family. Last night found us in Ft. Worth at Calvary Chapel Ft. Worth w/ Chris McColluch and his beautiful bride. Thanks so much guys! We loved our time w/ you all! While in Ft. Worth we experienced an amazing wind/rain and lighting storm. Seriously freaked us out. On the way back to Lubbock today, we got a nail in a left rear tire. Thanks to the cool people at Wal-Mart for fix’n it up all nice like. (That’s Texan for fixing our tire good). Tomorrow we will be playing at SUGAR BROWN’s (owned by Justin Barnard...yes, shane barnard’s brother) and then at Island Party on Saturday afternoon!

God bless you all...more in a day or two..
