  • How much does Jacob's Well charge for events?
We do not have a set amount we charge for Jacob's Well to come to your event. We rely on Love Offerings and/or Honorariums (money given by the church in addition to a love offering) to pay for our personal expenses and to provide for our families. If you are in a position where you would like Jacob's Well to participate in your event but are honestly unable to pay anything at all, please let us know. We fully believe that where God guides His people, He provides for His people. We also believe that honest & integral communication regarding this subject is essential on our part and on the part of the promoter or leadership representative of a church or venue looking to book us. Finally, we do not want money (or the lack thereof) to be a deciding factor in your decision to book Jacob's Well for your event. Please let us know how we can serve you with that in mind. 1 Thessalonians 2:4-12
  • I want to book Jacob's Well but they aren't on tour near my city. Now what?
Your event may require Jacob's Well to fly to and from your venue location. In this circumstance, any airfare as well as room & board will need to be covered by you or the promoter of the event. You may want to get in touch with other churches or venues in your area and see about planning a few events over the course of a few days to help with these costs. Get in touch with us and we can let you know how to make this happen.
  • If you are able to sell your CD's will you come and play for free?
This is addressed on a case by case basis. Many times in the past 10 years, churches and venues have used this as an excuse NOT pay a traveling ministry anything at all. To their credit, many of these people do not understand that CD sales more often than not with most bands does NOT translate into income for the members. These merchandise sales pay for our running costs to get us down the road each day and to cover maintenance and/or replacement of gear, car parts, gas, lodging and unexpected costs that always pop up while touring. We rely on Love Offerings and/or Honorariums (money given by the church in addition to a love offering) to pay for our personal expenses and to provide for our families. If you are in a position where you would like Jacob's Well to participate in your event but are honestly unable to pay anything at all, please let us know. If you are looking to book another band for free for your next event simply because you don't WANT to pay anything, feel free to call us and explain why you think it is reasonable that you should not have to pay anything to an artist participating in your event.
  • Do you travel with your own sound system?
This depends on the venue. Many venues are more than equipped to handle having huge festival size events at their locations, while some other places can hardly handle putting a CD in their CD players (if they even have one) without the speakers blowing up. So to answer the question: Yes, we are ABLE to travel with our own sound. And if you have an event booked on an already scheduled tour, the odds are that we will have a sound system with us. Wether or not we use ours or yours will be discussed in the booking process. For those interested, we travel with the BOSE Personal Amplification System.
  • Do you do house concerts?
We LOVE doing house concerts! Infact, in some ways, it's preferred over larger venues but not always as suitable. It also tends to keep the costs lower for you. If you are thinking about putting together a house concert, let us know! We'll give you some good tips.
  • Is Jacob's Well signed to a record label?
Jacob's Well is currently not 'signed' to any major, minor, independent, quasi-independent, foreign, domestic or interplanetary record label. Being independent has allowed us many advantages over the past 10 years of our lives. However, we are not against the idea partnering with a record label. Many of our friends have deep rooted & wonderful relationships with their record labels. We also have numerous close friend who are involved with these record labels. We have just chosen not to spend or be spent making 'getting signed' our goal.
