Jacob's Well Featured In New LifeWay Bible Study

Jacob's Well is considering it very humbling to have one of our songs (Abide, off of the You Are Better Album) used as the TITLE TRACK on the new THREADS Young Adult Bible Study entitled "Abide - Practicing Kingdom Rhythms in a Consumer Culture". The CD is included in the Leader Pack.

Also appearing on the Enhanced CD are: Bart Millard (Mercy Me), Ginny Owens, Jadon Lavik, Jill Phillips, Dave Hunt, J.J Heller, Shane & Shane, Brooke Fraser, Dan Haseltine (Jars Of Clay), and Christy Nockels (Watermark/Passion).

All glory to Jesus who alone is worthy of our praise!

Bible Study. Prayer. Fasting. Service. These are just a few of the spiritual disciplines of the Christian life and most of us live with a sense of frustration when it comes to consistently implementing them.
We live in a consumer-driven culture, one that is constantly pushing us toward anything that’s quicker, newer, and better. But Jesus has a better way.

Jared C. Wilson examines key sections in the Sermon on the Mount and will help you come to see what happens when we stop striving to do a better job at Christianity and start finding the rhythm of truly being a Christian.

LIVE WORSHIP (Free MP3)

We were recently digging through old LIVE files and found this wonderful time of worship that was spent at Trillium Lane Studios during the recording of the songs You Are Better. What we love most about this is that it captures the spontaneity of worship to the Lord by 30+ people. Put your headphones (recommended) on and spend the next few minutes worshipping Jesus with this precious audio.

A Look Back At JW:1999 -2006

Although this video is a few years old, we thought it would be fun to post it again in preparation of 10 years of Jacob's Well! God has been so faithful to us, it's simply humbling. We are blessed to be used for His Kingdom!

Jacob's Well in CCM Magazine

Jacob's Well recently appeared in the October 2006 issue of CCM Magazine. We didn't find out till December! Shows how much we actually follow up on ourselves. Anyway, it was a quick blurb about us with a very old picture that Elise just about freaked out at. Check it out, if you can still find a copy!

Year In Review

We thought it would be fun with us entering a new year to post the top 20 things that happened with us personally and as a band this past year. Enjoy!
---
1. We got stranded at a camp in central Oregon after a monster mudslide almost wiped us out. We spent 3 days stuck in the mountains nearly by ourselves. We almost lost our brand new 4 Runner and trailer as well.

2. Rob's Grandma turned 101

3. Seahawks went to the Super Bowl and lost on account of rookie referees.

5. Elise's best friend Erin finally got married.

6. Elise's other best friend Jen finally got married as well.

7. Kevin bought a 4 Runner just like Rob & Elise to go along with the Mayes Guitar he bought just like Rob & Elise and the Apple Powerbook he bought just like - you guessed it Rob & Elise.

8. Jacob's Well was invited by Centricity Records to take part in a week long Independent Artist retreat in Eastern WA with some amazing industry people and also some amazing independent artists. Hey Mr. John Mays, we gave in and found ourselves a bass player!

9. Rob & Elise bought a Coffee Shop in their home town...almost. It didn't pan out. BUT, guess who bought a coffee shop just like Rob & Elise? Yep, Kevin.

10. Elise turned 26

11. Kevin turned 37

12. Rob turned 12....ok fine, he turned 30.

13. Rob, Kevin and Koo Chung successfully deep-fried a chicken.

New Band Member

For those of you who have been itching to see Jacob's Well with a full band, this years tour schedule is for you! We are pleased to introduce to you Mike "Woog" Williams on Bass/Electric Guitar. Use your imagination with what he may look like because we don't have a photo of him yet...he's kinda shy anyway. He's also way better than all of us and makes us look really good - or bad, depending on how you look at it.

I Will See You

Jacob's Well, along with 3-time Dove Award winner Masaki Liu (Virgin Records, Justin McRoberts, Five Minute Walk Records, Tooth and Nail Records, Five Iron Frenzy and many more) have put together a new collection of songs featuring the latest music from the band. Listeners will be drawn into worship through the familiar yet unexpected melodies found within this third release from Jacob's Well.
